Ahh spring in Alaska...well kind of. Even in late April it can reach to nearly 0 degrees here. But this is exactly what is needed to to start the birch sap flowing, sunny days and frosty nights! And there is really nothing more refreshing than a chilly sapcicle to suck on early in the morning while gathering the previous nights fresh sap.
