This rather frightful plant is aptly called Devil's Club. Which is really a VERY appropriate name. It can grow up to about 8ft tall with the stem as thick as a tree branch. The entire plant is covered in mildly poisonous barbs the burn terribly if you where to unsuspectingly grab ahold of it. (Personal experience) Devils Club however is very medicinal and a favorite of goats!
