Orthodox Gospels & Epistle Books for the Altar

The Gospel rests on the Holy Table of every Orthodox church and is carried out in procession at the Little Entrance, which is why its cover is made with such care. Our altar Gospels come in sculptured gold-plated covers and full enamel, with icons of the Resurrection and the Four Evangelists, along with an embossed leather Gospel handcrafted in Russia.
Choose from English (King James) text with Russian-style pericopes, an Orthodox translation from the Greek arranged by the daily readings, Church Slavonic, or a mini Gospel in Greek, in sizes from pocket and travel up to extra large. We also carry the Epistle book (Apostol) in sculptured gold-plated covers. See all of our liturgical supplies.
