Invented?

Bees have a handle on air conditioning! When the hive is in danger of overheating, select bees bring back water and dribble it around. Then they all gather at one end and flap their wings in the same direction, thereby cooling the hive down.

Honey Moon

Fermented honey, known as Mead, is the most ancient fermented beverage. The term "honey moon" originated with the Viking practice of consuming large quantities of Mead during the first month of a marriage.

Alaska Grizzly Bear    Welcome to our beeswax page. All of the candles on this page are crafted with the goal of perfection in mind, and made from 100% beeswax, using an all natural cotton wick.

They are made the old fashioned way in our candle shop, by dipping them over and over again, into a large vat filled with hot aromatic beeswax. When we are dipping the whole shop is filled with the scent of honey.

50 Active...

That's right, Alaska has 50 active volcanoes! Which is something that we found out first hand so to speak. One day, early in the morning while it was still dark, we all woke up to a funny noise that sounded somewhat like rain. Only had a very soft hissing sound to it, kind of like, well we we weren't exactly sure. So we all ran outside, and stuck our hands out from under the porch roof. And well, they didn't get wet... we drew our hands back rather puzzled and inspected them. They were covered In soft gray dust and sand. At that point we all shouted "Ash!" and then
